First check whether the container really is foreign. By default, Dockflow tracks every container the carrier lists under the bill of lading or booking you supplied, not only the ones you uploaded. So extra containers often belong to the same bill.

To remove a container that does not belong:

1. Open the shipment and go to its containers.
2. Click delete next to the container.
3. In the confirmation, leave ‘prevent automatic re-addition’ ticked. This keeps the container from returning the next time the carrier’s data is refreshed.
4. Confirm.

If you only ever want the containers you send yourself, an administrator can tick ‘Do not import unknown containers from booking and B/Ls’ under Power Settings \> Organisation. Containers you upload or send in yourself are always kept.

If the extra containers come with a different destination, vessel or ETA, the shipment probably carries more than one booking or bill of lading. Remove the wrong reference and the shipment follows the correct one.

If you deleted the wrong container, add it again manually from the containers section; manual additions are always allowed.

**Example**
Your bill of lading also lists a container for a different customer of yours, and you track that container on its own shipment. Delete it from this shipment and leave ‘prevent automatic re-addition’ ticked. If this happens on most of your bookings, use the ‘Do not import unknown containers’ setting instead. With that setting on, always send your container numbers, because a booking or bill of lading on its own then tracks nothing.
