You can create a tradeflow by manual entry or by bulk import via Excel.

Manual entry is for single shipments or quick entries. Go to Dashboard and open Tradeflows. Click + Create Tradeflow. Fill in the form. Click Save.

Bulk import via Excel is another way to create tradeflows. Go to Dashboard and open Tradeflows. Click Import. Choose Download empty template for the pre-formatted template or Upload any Excel to use smart mapping. With smart mapping, Dockflow detects the columns and opens a mapping confirmation step. Review and confirm the suggested mapping. When the mapping looks right, click Import.

The import runs in the background, exactly like the template import, and the tradeflows appear shortly after. Both paths create and update the same tradeflows and support the same fields. After upload, processing happens in the background. Check import status in Settings, then Import History. You’ll receive an email notification when processing completes.

**Example**
A forwarder needs to add one urgent shipment. A staff member opens Tradeflows, clicks + Create Tradeflow, fills the form, and saves it. Later, the team receives a spreadsheet with several shipments. They open Tradeflows, click Import, upload the Excel file, review the suggested mapping, and click Import. The tradeflows appear shortly after.
