To remove duplicate tradeflows for the same bill of lading, keep the tradeflow you want and deactivate the duplicates. Deactivation does not delete data. It archives the tradeflow, and you can reactivate it later. It keeps the dashboard focused on active shipments without deleting history.

1. Open the tradeflow you want to keep.

2. Open a duplicate tradeflow. Open the tradeflow details. Find the Status or Actions menu. Select Deactivate. Confirm the action.

3. Repeat for the duplicate tradeflows for that bill of lading. Use the Dashboard filters to show deactivated tradeflows if you need to review them.

If you need permanent removal, use the hard delete option. The Downstream API DELETE endpoint deactivates a tradeflow. Add ?hard=true to permanently delete it.

Manual deactivation is available at any time, regardless of automatic policies.

**Example**
A forwarder finds duplicate tradeflows for the same bill of lading. They keep the correct tradeflow. They open a duplicate in the tradeflow details. They select Deactivate and confirm. If permanent removal is required, they use the hard delete option.
