You can find the cargo opening date in the API, on the dashboard, and in individual tradeflow details.

In the API, read the shipment field cargo\_opening. It is an ISO date string taken from the port of loading.

On the dashboard, open Views, click Edit Columns, search for Cargo Opening, tick the box, and apply or save. The column now appears on your dashboard. Place it near departure-side columns such as ETD and the vessel.

In an individual tradeflow, cargo opening time may already be visible in the tradeflow details.

Cargo opening is the time when the terminal at the port of loading starts accepting containers for a specific vessel. It is an export planning data point, not an import one. The cargo opening date is also included in dashboard exports and scheduled reports.

**Example**
A forwarder plans an export drop-off. The dashboard Cargo Opening column shows the opening time for the vessel. The team schedules the haulier for after that time. The API record for the same shipment returns cargo\_opening. The individual tradeflow details may also show the cargo opening time.
