The welcome email only carries a login link. The user does not need that email to get in.
- Ask the user to go to app.dockflow.com, or to the login page their forwarder gave them.
- Choose ‘Login with email link’ and enter the email address their account was created with.
- Open the link that arrives. This signs them in. The link works on its own and no password is needed.
- If they prefer a password (handy on iPhone, where email links are less reliable), they can set one in their account settings once signed in. They can also use ‘Forgot Password?’ on the login page.
If no email arrives at all:
- Check the spam or junk folder first. Spam filters are the most common reason.
- Ask your IT team to allow emails from dockflow.com.
- Check the address an administrator entered under Settings > Organisation. A mistake there means the link goes nowhere. Because the email address is the login, a wrong address has to be fixed by removing the user and adding them again with the right address and the welcome email option switched on.
If the link still does not arrive after these checks, contact support with the user’s email address.
Example
A new colleague reports that nothing arrived. They choose ‘Login with email link’ on the login page and enter their address, and again nothing arrives, also not in spam. An administrator opens Settings > Organisation and sees a mistake in the address. The administrator removes the user and adds them again with the right address and the welcome email option on. The link now arrives, and the colleague is signed in by opening it.
