ACL shipments lost all their dates when ACL left one date blank

Status: Fixed since August 2026

How to recognise it
An Atlantic Container Line (ACL) shipment showed no dates for any of its containers, while ACL’s own tracking showed real sailing and discharge dates.

Which shipments this affects
ACL shipments where ACL left at least one date unfilled, for example the arrival date of a container that had already been discharged. That one date was enough to lose the real dates of every container on the same document.

Cause
ACL fills a date it does not have with 1 January of year 1 instead of leaving it empty.

What changed
Dockflow now treats ACL’s year-1 date as missing. The real dates on the same shipment are kept, and no event is ever shown in year 1.

Is past data corrected?
No. The fix applies to new events; earlier events keep their original wording.

How to check your shipment
Compare the sailing and discharge dates on the shipment with ACL’s own tracking. They should now match. If a date is still empty in Dockflow while ACL shows one, send support the shipment reference.

Do you need to do anything?
Nothing.
