How do I make my own dashboard view with the columns and filters I need?

Any user can build personal views on the dashboard.

  1. Open Dashboard from the main menu.
  2. Start from the view closest to what you want, for example Tradeflows (one row per shipment) or Containers (one row per container).
  3. Choose your columns: open the Views menu, select Edit columns, tick the columns you want, drag them into order and click Apply. Newer columns, such as cargo opening time, also appear in this list.
  4. Narrow the rows with Filter: for example partner, flags, active or inactive, port, or a date range. Click Apply.
  5. Save it: open the View menu, choose ‘Save & Edit view’, give it a clear name and save.

The view then appears as its own tab and stays personal to you. To give everyone in your company the same tab, an administrator can add it to the company blueprint (see the thread on sharing a view).

Tips:

  • Use saved views for setups you use every day, and filters for a quick look.
  • A saved view can also be emailed on a schedule (see the thread on scheduled reports).

Example
You want a daily list of the containers arriving at one port. Start from the Containers view. Under Edit columns, tick the container number, the ETA and anything else you read every day. Under Filter, choose the port and keep Active on, then click Apply. Choose ‘Save & Edit view’ and name it after the port. The list now opens as its own tab, and only you see it.
